RISEBA University bachelor study programme “Architecture” and “Audiovisual media arts” joint summer school .TA_KA+. 2016 finished on Sunday, 31 July 2016. Architecture and audiovisual arts students from Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Belorussia and Latvia participated in the summer school. On the first day students discovered Riga during the velo-tour, accompanied by director of RISEBA University bachelor study programme “Architecture” Janis Dripe, but straight on the next day students went on to explore Kurzeme coastline and rich Livonian traditions. During their creative journey students visited masterpiece of famous architect Zaiga Gaile – Vacation Home on “Easter Island”, participated in workshops delivered by Didzis Jaunzems (LV) and Jeannine Walter (DE) and created three art objects themselves: „Freak”, „180 Degrees” and „Different Worlds”. Created installations were presented to the audience during the RojaL Film Festival and showed its guests, how a space can be transformed by the light and how wide are the interaction opportunities between architecture and audiovisual arts.
